Isaac Bush is a theatre practitioner specializing in devised and conceptual live performance. Born in Muskegon, MI and based in New York City, Isaac's work has been seen across continental USA, Europe, and China. His primary focus on imminent topical issues is created alongside a group of international collaborators and produced in site-specific spaces. As an instructor, Isaac regularly teaches professionals and students alike within a movement-based framework to begin their devising processes.
Bush is the Artistic Director of SMPL MCHN and The Circle Theater of New York.
"My projects reflect the interconnectedness of our human condition. The issues of focus must be articulated by the voices best representative of those issues. I prioritize sharing my incubation and production processes with diverse and multifaceted artists from a wide spectrum of backgrounds and life experiences."
Bush is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, Hope College in Holland, MI, the British-American Drama Academy, and the GLCA New York Arts Program.

"The Performer's Canvas" is a workshop title adopted to engage professionals and students in the creation of their own unique narratives. This shared experience through movement, story, and ensemble-building aims to deepen the articulation of the body and truthfulness of the voice. Isaac's workshops have been given in New York City, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Germany, Cyprus, Brazil, and throughout China.

Founded in 2010, the Circle Theater of New York (CTNY) is an ensemble of artists working in a wide variety of media. CTNY relies on company-wide collaboration to devise work with a focus on issues of substance and consequence expressed through a collective voice. Inclusive of immersive productions, workshops and events, our work strives to empower a community of artists with a shared goal of ambitious cross-cultural storytelling for our audiences.
The National Theatre of Luxembourg was created in 1996, following the tremendous momentum generated by "Luxembourg - European City of Culture 1995". The NTL wants to act as a relay in the internationalization of theater in Luxembourg that in turn finds its true national identity within a European environment. The NTL serves as a broad platform for artists working in the fields of theater and while also inviting internationally renowned artists to engage them through original and co-productions.
International Spice is a collaboration of Western and Chinese artists based in China. Through performance and events we aim to create multicultural work that celebrates our different cultures and promotes dialogue within the arts.
